Michael BellMichael Bell served sixteen years in the Middle East as Canada’s Ambassador to Jordan, Egypt, Israel (twice), as representative to the Palestinians and as High Commissioner to Cyprus. For two years he was Chair of the Donor Committee of the International Reconstruction Fund Facility for Iraq and was an Arms Inspector for UNSCOM in Iraq.

He was for eight years the Paul Martin (Sr.) Senior Scholar in International Diplomacy at the University of Windsor, where he currently holds the position of Adjunct Professor.

He is Co-chair of the Jerusalem Old City Initiative, designed to develop options for the Governance of the Old City, the papers from which will be published in three volumes in 2015 by Routledge.

He also teaches at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University.
