Welcome to CIPS!

The Centre for International Policy Studies (CIPS) seeks to stimulate and inform public debate about contemporary global issues and Canada’s place in world affairs. Located in Ottawa, and at Canada’s preeminent bilingual university, CIPS is a dynamic meeting place for scholars, policy makers and international activists and a vibrant hub for the exchange of new, challenging and innovative ideas about global politics.

Please join the discussion. Attend our events – hardly a week goes by without two or three public talks and panels on a range of global topics; read the CIPS Blog – written only by experts on international affairs it is the foremost forum for debate on Canadian foreign policy and global issues; listen to our podcasts and watch our events online; explore the rich resources on our website, including policy and working papers; and if you are a graduate student, get involved in our annual conference and the journal Potentia. To stay informed about our busy programme, follow us on Twitter and don’t forget to subscribe to our weekly email newsletter.

Thanks for your interest in CIPS! My colleagues and I hope you will join us soon!
