This event brings together transnational feminist stakeholders working together to raise public awareness about the systematic persecution of women and girls in El Salvador for attending to their health needs. The webinar will include clips from the documentary film “Fly So Far” and a discussion with the film director Celina Escher and the film protagonist Teodora Vásquez. The speakers will discuss the international support to feminist movements in countries with restrictive laws and will reflect on the current international context for the promotion of gender equality and SRHR (sexual and reproductive health and rights), with a particular focus on possibilities offered by the Biden Administration.
