Over the past 30 years military analysts have made numerous claims that the character, or even the very nature, of war has undergone fundamental change. In this talk, Paul Robinson will compare theories of the changing character of war with the realities of the war in Ukraine. He will demonstrate that the war has defied many predictions, and will draw lessons of use to future military planners.
