On December 10-11, 2007, several of the world’s leading analysts of Afghanistan and peacebuilding gathered in Ottawa to evaluate the progress of the international mission in that country. How should ‘progress’ be measured? What are the key trends in the fields of security, governance reform, counter-narcotics, and reconstruction and development? And what are the conditions for ‘success’?
The conference marked the launch of the new Centre for International Policy Studies (CIPS) at the University of Ottawa.
