Farai Chipato has a PhD in Political Science from Queen Mary University of London. His research investigates the relationship between international development donors and civil society organisations in Zimbabwe, focusing on democracy, good governance and human rights. His work will also explore new African challenges to contemporary global order, working with Afropolitanism to examine trends in African philanthropy and social movements. Farai is also Reviews Editor for Review of African Political Economy.

Farai joins CIPS as a Postdoctoral Fellow as part of the Changing Orders collaborative research project funded by the Alex Trebek Forum for Dialogue.
