Shroyer holds a Master’s of Public and International Affairs and a Bachelor’s of Commerce with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Ottawa. She has worked for CIPS in various capacities since 2019 when she began as a Research Assistant. In addition to her new duties as the blog editor, she also helps to coordinate events and manages the social media, among other duties. Prior to completing her Master’s degree, she spent 2 1/2 years serving with Mercy Ships as a Media Liaison. As part of her Master’s degree she had the opportunity to intern at the Canadian Embassy in The Netherlands as the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Advisor. Her areas of research have included democracy in West Africa, as well as global health issues.
