Professeur Servet is a widely known scholar of the history of money and microfinance. He was previously a professor at the Université de Lyon II, and joined the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva (http://graduateinstitute.ch) in 2003. He has also served as an advisor to the government of France and to the European Commission. His talk will be based on his most recent book, Les banquiers aux pieds nus : la microfinance.
