On March 16, the AEDSA is organizing a screening of Broken Courage, a powerful documentary about friendship, forgiveness, healing, and hope—followed by a panel discussion. The documentary’s director, David Peck, will be in attendance.
Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of the beautiful country of Cambodia, Broken Courage is a documentary which follows Suon Rottana, a former teenage Khmer Rouge rebel, a soldier with the Cambodian army, a prisoner of war and a landmine amputee. Suon, now a wounded man, confronts and shares his difficult past in order to heal and educate future generations. Broken Courage is a documentary about memory, history, grief and similarity through difference; it speaks to the interconnectivity of stories and their power to heal trauma.
Come listen, learn, reflect, and share together.
