Professor Alimi‘s recent research has examined mutual media images between Israel and Jordan, before and during the second Intifada. He has also participated in a joint comparative Israeli-German project on shaping media frames on critical issues, and he is beginning new research projects on empowerment of peace constituencies, and on the influence of grassroots Israeli-Palestinian organization on Israeli public and media
