Steve Hewitt is Senior Lecturer in American and Canadian Studies at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. He is the author of several books, including Spying 101: The RCMP’s Secret Activities at Canadian University 1917-1997 (2002); The British War on Terror; Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism on the Home Front since 9/11 (2008); and Snitch: A History of the Modern Intelligence Informer (2010).
