Dr. Neysa Rodríguez is currently Tenured Professor of History at Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico (PCUPR), Ponce. She is the author of nine books, including a US History textbook in Spanish, as well as editor for nine publications. She has been consultant for several public and private organizations, including the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture and the Smithsonian Magazine. Her most recent research deals with the nature of Puerto Rico’s political status as a Commonwealth. She holds a Ph.D. in History from The University of Mississippi and specializes in 19th and 20th Century US Social and Economic History, and 20th Century American Diplomacy.
