Thomas Gomart, Director of the Institut français des relations internationales (IFRI) will speak about the current geopolitical climate in Europe.
Thomas Gomart’s academic and professional background has been closely related to post-Soviet space. He has been a Lavoisier Fellow at the Moscow State Institute for International Relations (2001), a Visiting Fellow at the EU Institute for Security Studies (2003), and a Marie Curie Fellow in the Department of War Studies at King’s College (2003-2004). He holds a PhD in History (Paris I – Panthéon La Sorbonne) and an EMBA from HEC Paris.
He founded and was Director of the Russia/NIS Centre of IFRI from 2004 to 2013, was Vice-President for Strategic Development of IFRI from September 2010 to March 2015, and was appointed Director of IFRI in April 2015.
