MARGARET BLOODWORTH, Senior Fellow, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and Former National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada.
FERRY DE KERCKHOVE, Senior Fellow, Graduate School of Public and International Affair and Former Canadian Ambassador to Egypt, Pakistan and Indonesia.
Margaret Bloodworth was most recently National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister and Associate Secretary to the Cabinet (2006-2008). Prior to that she was the first Deputy Minister of Public Safety (2003-2006), Deputy Minister of Defence (2002-2003) and Deputy Minister of Transport (1997-2002). Currently she is a member of the boards of the Hospice at May Court, the Community Foundation of Ottawa, Cornerstone Shelter and Housing for Women, the World University Service of Canada and the Canadian Ditchley Foundation. She is a member of the Order of Canada.
Ferry de Kerckhove entered the Canadian Foreign Service in 1973. He served as Canada’s High Commissioner to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia and the Arab Republic of Egypt. He was also the Personal representative of the Prime Minister for la Francophonie. He has a B.Soc. Sc. Honours in Economics, an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Ottawa and pursued Ph.D. Studies at Laval University in Québec City.
