A talk by Captain R. Robinson Harris, Lockheed Martin MS2 Integrated Defense Technologies.

Captain Harris retired from the U. S. Navy in 1998 after 30 years of commissioned service. He commanded the Tomahawk Strike Destroyer, USS CONOLLY (DD 979) and Destroyer Squadron 32. Since retiring from the Navy, he has worked for Lockheed Martin where he currently serves as Director of Advanced Concepts. Captain Harris participated in the development of the Navy’s new strategy, “A Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower.” He currently serves as an Adviser to the CNO Strategic Studies Group, and he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Baltimore Council on Foreign Affairs. He has served on the Canadian Navy’s Strategic Advisory Group since 2008. Most recently he was appointed to the Secretary of the Navy’s Naval Research Advisory Committee.
Drawing on his naval, policy, and industry experience, R. Robinson Harris will discuss trends in the development of the next generation surface combatants.
