On January 20th, 2017, Donald J. Trump will take office as the 45th President of the United States of America. The implications of this change at the White House are far-reaching for Canada and for the rest of the world. Join our panel of experts to discuss how four crucial policy areas are likely to be affected: foreign and security policy, economic policy, environmental policy, and immigration policy.

Jacqueline Best is a Professor in the School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa. Her research intersects international relations, political economy, and social theory.
Monica Gattinger is the Director of the University of Ottawa’s Institute for Science, Society and Policy, and Chair of the Institute’s Collaboratory on Energy Research and Policy. She has written widely on Canadian energy policy and regulation, and the country’s energy relations with the United States.
Alexandra Gheciu is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Ottawa, and Associate Director of the Centre for International Policy Studies. She researches international security, international institutions, Euro-Atlantic relations, and global governance.
Patti Tamara Lenard is an Associate Professor of Ethics, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. Her research focuses on the moral questions raised by migration across borders, on immigrant integration, including strategies for inclusion, as well as on multiculturalism, trust, and social cohesion.

Costanza Musu is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Ottawa. She has been a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence and a consultant for the Military Centre for Strategic Studies — Centre for Advanced Defense Studies (CeMiSS-CASD), the think tank of the Italian Ministry of Defence. Her research focuses on international security and on transatlantic relations in security and defence.
