Before joining CIGI, Dr. Thakur was Vice Rector and Senior Vice Rector of the United Nations University and Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations. His most recent book is War in Our Time: Reflections on Iraq, Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction (2007).
