Gino Vlavonou has a PhD in Political Science from the School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa. His research investigates discourses of autochthony in the Central African Republic politics where he conducted fieldwork in 2017. He is a consultant with the Conflict Prevention and Peace Forum (CPPF) at the Social Science Research Council (SSRC). He authored several scholarly articles, book chapters and blogs. His work appeared in journals such as African Security, and Revue Tiers Monde. He is fluent in French and English.
